Passive Aggressive Positivity

zach, 20, native houstonian, current chicagoan. i can be pretty militant in my opinions on GIRLS, gun control, education reform and cats. or at least, that's what you'll find in abundance here. cultivate calm.

Mind boggling.

It feels very meta to look at the Columbia College Chicago tag when I’m sitting at a computer in the library.

My biggest complaint about Columbia is that they don’t have a bigger and more broad education program.

No, seriously: Register to vote

barackobama:

You only have a few hours left to register to vote on the actually perfect day to do it: National Voter Registration Day.

But here’s something awesome: We’ve embedded our registration form right here on our Tumblr so you can register to vote without leaving Tumblr.

Do it in less than five minutes and marvel that we live in the future.

I registered to vote today! If you go to Columbia, you can go to the Loft at 916 S. Wabash throughout the week and do it there. They have all 50 states and it takes like five minutes.

Gotta rep my school’s services, you know?

(HAD A BLOND MOMENT EARLIER, WHOOPS.)

I wasn’t expecting to, but I had a great day today at the Weeks of Welcome events I helped out with. Color Jam Tour, meeting a bunch of commuters, and tagging along on the movie in the park trip.

Students are surprising and awesome, and I wish Orientation was my full-time, year round job.

Ohmygod, whoever made this, I love you.

This is such a rare and momentous occasion! This is the first time I’ve seen Mark…Kelly on my dash!

You may be wondering who this young, oversized man is. (laughter) Some of you have been paying attention. My name is Mark….       Kelly. I’m the Vice President of Student Affairs.

It’s only been one day but I already miss Orientation.

The honest to god peak of my day was getting a sticker for being funny. My coworkers are the best.

These are the amazing people I get to work with everyday. And me, being super fucking awkward.

I love it so much!

Goddamn, I love being an Orientation Leader.

Three reasons why my new job as an Orientation Leader is awesome (a list by Zach Preiksa)

  1. They feed us breakfast and lunch every day. Today, there were Panera pastries for breakfast and Jimmy John’s boxes for lunch. FREE FOOD WHAT UP?
  2. The people I work with are awesome, and totally diverse. I love it!
  3. We made the OL Welcome video today and I was definitely the most awkward person in it. No one blinked an eye!

Look it, I’m gonna be a tutor! And have math with Amy! And have a generally awesome time!

AND AND AND BE A TUTOR!

oh hey, what’s up schedule i really wanted?

why is this semester’s schedule so shitty. this sucks.
